This contemporary coastal home was surrounded by both breathtaking water views and – unfortunately – overgrown, outdated landscaping. Our challenge was to redesign the pool and property to bring an exacting clean vision to the property that would be cohesive with the home’s modern architecture. After clearing the canvas of the old driveway, patios and vegetation, a black-and-white theme was brought throughout. New terracing and a white concrete fire pit redefined entertaining areas. The pool was refurbished and surrounded with contrasting pavers. A “floating” white walkway was set over a black beach pebble basin. Within the plantings of Black Mondo Grass and white Little Lamb Hydrangeas are blue and white iris – to signify the flowers from the homeowners’ first date.
