New Classic Courtyard

Greenwich, Connecticut

The owners of this 1930s Tudor home loved the intricate architectural details and timeless elegance. But it was missing a pool to offer an escape and respite – without disrupting the period aesthetic of the home. First, we sited the location to enhance the views from the home and the practicality for the family’s lifestyle. Then, we designed and built the pool and surrounding gardens – from the stone-carved weirs to the reclaimed bluestone terraces, to the monochromatic masses of plantings. The result is more than a pool, but a bridge that connects modern-day accoutrements with the history, detail, and characteristics of the home.
